    1. Decide if you are ready to commit to personal training.

    2. Book a free 15-minute phone/Zoom consultation.

    3. You will be provided with a payment and scheduling link. You must book a fitness assessment ($125).

    4. Complete mandatory intake questionnaires at least 24 hours before your scheduled fitness assessment. Your fitness assessment provides a bench mark for your on-going training needs moving forward. During the assessment we look at mobility and stability, muscular endurance and cardiorvascular endurance.

    5. You will be emailed a copy of your assessment results with key findings.

    6. Accept invite to the training platform app ABC Trainerize. Your program will be delivered on this app, also available in a desktop version.

    7. You may pay for classes by choosing from a variety of convenient paid in advance packages (1-week packages, 1-month, 3-months, 6 months). Each week includes three 1-hour training sessions. Meal plans and habit tracking are included as part of these comprehensive packages.

    8. Attend your classes. If you need to reschedule a training session, whether delivered in-person or online, provide at least 24 hours notice. whether it's in-person or online. If you are utilizing online training, classes are provided via Zoom video conferencing. Zoom may be downloaded here for Apple or PC.

    9. Follow Joe Collison's bespoke training plan including diet and nutrition advice to ensure you are on track to achieving your goals. This is a comprehensive program that includes bespoke training based on your fitness assessment results and your personal goals, meal/diet plans to match your needs and goals, as well as daily accountability tracking (if desired).

    10. Meal/diet plans are included in my comprehensie packages and it is up to you to decide if you wish to follow them. Total body transformations happen in tandem with good diet and nutrition. Be sure to consult with your doctor/family physician before embarking upon any diet changes or incorporating supplements such as creatine into your diet.

  • In-person training is available at easily accessible private studios located at three conveniently located Downtown Toronto gyms or in-house at your building's residential gym. It is also available across the GTA within a reasonable travel distance where you have access to an in-house gym.

    Online training is available anywhere with Zoom video conferencing. Requirements: a well-lit area area with a reasonable amount of space for observation via video conferencing. A minimum of one of either a barbell with a bench and/or a set of dumbbells with enough resistance to challenge you (10lbs -35 lbs and above) during observed coaching.

  • Anywhere in the world, keeping in mind there may be some limitations due to time zone differences. With enough planning and ensuring you stick to your scheduled classes, this can easily be overcome in most cases.

    Online training is available anywhere with Zoom video conferencing. Requirements: a well-lit area area with a reasonable amount of space for observation via video conferencing. A minimum of one of either a barbell with a bench and/or a set of dumbbells with enough resistance to challenge you (10lbs -35 lbs and above) during observed coaching.

    Online training is ideal for those looking for a cheaper alternative to traditional in-person training with the same proven results. It's also ideal for people who live in rural areas and don't have access to a roster of easily accessible personal trainers and/or physical gyms, whether in-house or commercial. With the right amount of planning and at-home equipment, you can get the same bespoke training experience you'd have at any major commercial gym.

  • Online training is just as effective as in-person training. It is a convenient way to stay healthy and committed to an active lifestyle if you live in a rural area far from a commercial gym, and without the hassle of commercial gyms (looking for locker space, waiting for equipment, etc.) Many people switched to online personal training during the COVID-19 Pandemic and have continued to receive their personal training online in the comfort of their own training equipped home, in-house gym or workplace.

  • I have a Personal Trainer Specialist certification from Canfitpro, the Canadian organization that provides qualifications to professionals in the training industry. I also have a BSc (Hons) from the London School of Economics & Political Science in London, England.

    I have 8 years of experience training myself across all major training areas. In the gym this includes the Smith machine, barbell, dumbbells, bench, HIIT classes (I am a regular and fan of Barry's Bootcamp), calisthenics (at home and outside), stationary biking (Peloton), and practice daily all major warm-up exercises (e.g. world’s greatest stretch).

    During my first 3 years of self-training I was able to transform my body composition with a two-fold increase in lean muscle mass without gaining visceral fat. This was achieved through dedication to going to the gym a minimum of 4x per week along with strict diet modifications and the implementation of new daily lifestyle habits that are the backbone of transforming the human body.

  • I train people from all walks of life including young adults, office workers, the elderly, persons with disabilities and those recovering from injuries. Personal training is a safe and effective way to stay healthy and fit in the gym no matter what your age or obstacle. If you are recovering from an injury, be sure to work in tandem with your family physician to clear yourself for physical activity before embarking upon personal training.

  • All major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard) as well as VISA / Mastercard debit. You will be provided with a payment/scheduling link after your free-15 minute consultation. Packages are available in-person and for online training in 1-month, 3-month and 6-months at reduced rates for longer packages. A mandatory one-off assessment fee of $125 applies on top of any package, whether in-person or online.

  • Scheduled appointments are non-refundable unless cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice. If you do not provide at least 24 hours' notice but wish to reschedule for that given week to get your minimum training hours in, you will need to pay a $30 reschedule fee. There is no fee for rescheduling classes with at least 24 hours' notice.

    The most important element of a success story in personal training is showing up to your scheduled appointments on a consistent basis and making training an essential part of your calendar that you manage with the same attention as your work or personal calendar. With appropriate attention to your training and other scheduling, we can always find a way to fit in your minimum training hours without needing to pay a fee for any changes.

  • Yes, it is essential to attend a free introductory consultation so that we can get to know one another and so I can get an idea of the course of action to take for designing your bespoke personal training services.

    This free 15-minute consultation is conducted over Zoom video conferencing. In advance of this consultation, consider your goals and aspirations in the gym and where you see yourself in six months (weight loss? weight gain? an increase in muscle mass in a defined area? etc.), as well any obstacles you think may get in the way of being consistent in your training. Together, we can design a plan that will ensure success.

  • Personal training is tailored to each individual, so there is no mandate to lift heavy weights. Studies show that even a small amount of resistance training helps to improve overall health and wellbeing. There is no age limit to when you can or cannot embark upon a new fitness journey.

    Just ten weeks of resistance training may increase lean weight by 1.4 kg, increase resting metabolic rate by 7%, and reduce fat weight by 1.8 kg, rejuvenating your appearance and preventing a myriad of diseases and ailments.

    Personal training is the safest way for anyone, especially seniors, to embark upon resistance training education, whether it be online or in-person.

  • If you want to transform your body composition, you must also transform your diet. If you fail to follow Joe Collison's recommended meal plans, there is no guarantee of success. A healthy and nutritious diet forms the backbone of a successful lean muscle mass body transformation in tandem with weight lifting and cardio. This is not a diet fat, it's simply healthy, nutritious food, at adjusted macro levels for your goals.

    If you already have a good idea as to what a healthy diet is then that's great, but for those who struggle to make the right choices in the grocery store, or who aren't sure if what they're doing is working, my comprehensive packages include the advice needed to transform the body without any fads, gimmicks or reliance on 'super power' foods.
